First spotted by American spy satellites in 1978, the Ram-K Su-27 fighter jet was hidden in secrecy until it made its public debut on Soviet television in 1985. At the 1989 Paris International Air Show, the Su-27 put on a performance that stunned the audience and clearly demonstrated its superiority over its western counterparts. In June of 1990 the Su-27 became one of the first Soviet fighter jets to fly in American airspace since before World War II when it flew at the air show in Oklahoma City. This program contains footage of that air show where the Su-27 flew against its western counterparts; the F-15 Eagle, F-16 Fighting Falcon, F-14 Tomcat, and the F/A-18 Hornet.
